This is one of my favorite questions!
Answer: Everyone!
In dogs I see a lot of post op conditions such as: TPLO's or other cruciate repair techniques, luxating patella, hip dysplasia, elbow repairs, shoulder repairs, hemilaminectomy and the list goes on. I also see many of these conditions that have not had surgery for various reasons and we manage them conservatively.
I see senior animals to help manage their mobility changes usually due to arthritic changes in their joints.
And finally I see several working, competition and sports animals. Any where from hunting, agility, police work, dock diving, obedience, rally, etc.
Having tailored plan to each animal can make all the difference in their recovery, quality of life and keep them at the top of their performance level.
I think you know my answer already!
Answer: Everyone!
I see several horses for soft tissue injuries including ligaments and tendons. Some of these injuries can take awhile to heal, but with adding modalities such as tPEMF or Laser along with a tailored rehab plan, we can help speed up that process and bring them back to work as strong as possible.
I also see several horses for conditioning programs. Whether your hose is competitive in dressage, sorting, barrel racing, ranch events or trial riding, having them in as best shape as possible is going to put you on the top of your game.
This can get a bit tricky, but I am so lucky to have partnered with some local vet clinics!
I work out of the Athens Vet Service in Athens, WI and County Center Animal Hospital in Marathon, WI. When you make an appointment, I will help you choose the closest clinic to you for your appointment!
For my horse appointments I do travel to the farm. I will also offer haul in events to specific farms if needed.
MAD Rehab, LLC offers a variety of care including rehabilitation, massage therapy, laser therapy, Kinesiology taping, tPEMF therapy, wheelchair fittings, harness fittings and more.
*I do not offer chiropractic care, but I have a list of wonderful Doctors that do!
Each appointment will be tailored to each specific patient and their needs. We will set goals together as a team and work towards an end goal that improves that patients quality of life whether we are recovering from an injury, improving athleticism or anything in between. At the end of each session you will have access to an online program of exercises tailored to your animal.
This is completely up to you!
It all depends on your animals reason for seeing me, the goals we set and how your animal heals. Every single body is a little bit different.
I will give you a recommendation on when I think a good time frame would be and we can go from there. Sometimes it's once or twice per week and sometimes its every 4-6 weeks.
